Transformations

Number Formatter
The Number Formatter mode formats numerical input with commas and translates it into words, accommodating currency symbols (£, $, €). Entering a number, with or without decimals or a currency symbol, produces a "Standard Format" output, rounded to two decimal places (e.g., "£12,345.67"), and a "Full Precision" display, showing all digits (e.g., "12,345.6789"). It also generates a word representation in sentence case (e.g., "Twelve thousand three hundred and forty-five..."). The formatter supports numbers up to 303 digits, representing a centillion, provides digit statistics (whole and decimal counts), and disables other functions until the mode is exited. When currency is included, appropriate units are added, such as "pounds and pence" for the pound sterling.
"12345” → “12,345” (Full Precision) and “Twelve thousand, three hundred and forty-five” | “£7,285,678.76” → “£7,285,678.76” (Standard Format) and “Seven million, two hundred and eighty-five thousand, six hundred and seventy-eight pounds and seventy-six pence”
Character-to-Index Mapping (CtIM)
Toggles CtIM mode to map each character in your text to its position within words. Displays characters in colour-coded tiles (uppercase: bold green, numbers: blue, symbols: red) with indexes starting at 1 per word. Features zoom controls (in/out/reset, 0.5x–2x), drag scrolling, and a monospaced layout. Groups words visually, hides the text area and turns off other buttons until exited. The NATO Phonetics will be displayed in a tooltip if you hover over a tile.
"Hello World” → Tiles: “H(1) e(2) l(3) l(4) o(5)” and “W(1) o(2) r(3) l(4) d(5)” with zoom/drag options
NATO Phonetic
Enabling NATO mode transforms text into its NATO phonetic alphabet equivalents, for example, "A" becomes "Alfa". Each word is then presented with its corresponding phonetic breakdown in a scrollable, monospaced display. Character colour-coding is applied: uppercase letters are rendered in bold dark blue, numbers in blue, punctuation in green, and symbols in red. This functionality supports letters, digits, punctuation, and special symbols, maintaining the original case. Upon activation, the text area is hidden, and other buttons are disabled until the mode is exited.
"Hello 123!” → “HOTEL echo lima lima oscar ONE TWO THREE (exclamation_mark)” with word groups
